Janessa is a physiotherapist with a passion for women’s health, including pelvic health and chronic pain. She takes a truly holistic approach to her care, treating not just the physical symptoms, but also exploring how the mind, body, and spirit all play a role in healing. Her care is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and connection. Janessa takes the time to truly listen, understand your story, and meet you exactly where you’re at.
After completing her undergraduate degree at Acadia University and earning her Master’s in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University, Janessa began focusing on women’s health, and has been working in this space for the past 5 years. She has supported hundreds of women through birth preparation, postpartum recovery, returning to sport and physical activity, and navigating menopause and hormonal changes throughout the lifespan. Janessa also has extensive experience providing pelvic physiotherapy care in a virtual setting, making care accessible to all, no matter the season of life you may be in.
In her free time, Janessa can be found spending time with her husband, (slightly feral) toddler, and corgi, tending to her garden, or spending time with her horses
